For Gravitypope’s Community Series, I spent an afternoon with Marigold Santos, just hanging out in her studio and talking about her art and what motherhood looks like for her. It wasn’t a super formal setup, more like following her around while she drew, painted, and talked through what has been inspiring her lately.

A big part of our conversation was how being a mom has naturally woven itself into her work. Not in a big dramatic way, but in the small shifts, like how she thinks about identity, time, and the stories she wants to tell. It all shows up in her pieces in this really honest and personal way.
