For Freeway’s Eternal Light, Eternal Night, Jacob (the lead singer) and I wanted to create something that captured the raw, eerie vibe of rural Ontario in the dead of winter. With a classic Firebird at our disposal and a team ready to brave the cold, we set out to tell a ghost story through Jacob, who's known to talk your ear off. The narrative unfolds around a campfire, where Jacob tells a tale about a man who goes missing after a strange encounter with a hitchhiker, blending supernatural suspense, some good old-fashioned campfire vibes and some bad ass car shots.

To bring this story to life, we mixed some car-to-car shots, light processing for night scenes and threw in some campy VFX to showcase the possessed hitchhiker. We shot using vintage lenses to give the video a timeless look that matched Freeway’s classic Canadian rock and roll aesthetic.
